So the last blog I put up was WAY back in September when my mother came to visit and Eva was only weeks old. She is now 4 months old and growing so fast and learning new things every day. Since I'm way behind I'm going to do one big blog of catching up and try to stay on top of this weekly at least! So lets rewind back to October!!
October:Let's see for starters Eva lost her stump on Oct. 1st, which I was very excited about so that I could start giving her real baths, which she LOVES!! She gave me her first real smile on Oct. 4 and it melted my heart.

Her Uncle Josh came for a long weekend to meet his niece. He absolutely fell in love the moment he saw her. He couldn't put her down, he rocked her to sleep, and read her stories.

While Uncle Josh was in town we made a trip to the Pumpkin Patch (unfortunately a little over one month olds don't enjoy pumpkin patches!). We got our pumpkin and came home. While Josh was in town Nick was going to WLC so he had to work but we got to spend evenings and lunches with him. Nick graduated from WLC on Oct. 22 and he made the commandants list (top 10% of the class). He is now a squad leader in his platoon with a few soldiers underneath him.

The night before Halloween Eva and I carved her pumpkin. It came out pretty good :)

For Halloween I made a lady bug costume for Eva and of course she was just adorable :) Well that was a nice little fast forward of October! Eva also got her first round of shots this month and she did very well! Only cried for a little bit and was a little lethargic the second day but bounced right back!
November: So November was an interesting month! Eva is now 2 months old and has very good head control, and smiling every day.

To start off the month of November we had a visit from Aunt Sharon, Uncle Jon and "Aunt" Sarah (my brother, sister, and sisters best friend). They came out for a long weekend as well. Since my sister is allergic to cat's they had to stay in a hotel but it was great having them over to meet Eva.

They all took turns holding her and playing with her. On Sunday while they were here we made a trip to the Zoo in Manhattan. It was Eva's first zoo adventure! It was free for Veterans day and the weather was perfect.

We saw all sorts of animals, had to take a break and feed Eva and then she fell asleep. We got a couple family shots and got some exercise! After my family left the following weekend we had a couple of friends stay with us while they looked for apartments, Jimmy and Ali.

The week following that we had the whole Bourdon Clan arrive for Thanksgiving, Bob and Anna (the grandparents), Josh (again) and Josh's Fiance Leah. We had a crowded house for the week of Thanksgiving! It was great having them over though and of course they enjoyed every minute they had with Eva. My mom had purchased a cute little outfit for Eva's First Thanksgiving, she loved it! :)

The day before Thanksgiving Nick got a phone call informing him that he would be heading to Afghanistan in January, talk about short notice! We put this news aside and enjoyed time with our family and hosting our first thanksgiving went smoothly!

The family flew back home the day after thanksgiving and we got the house cleaned up and back to normal. November was a month of visitors and meeting new family for Eva. We really enjoyed all the time we got to spend with our family and friends.
December: We started out December by celebrating my 26th birthday! I had a few girls over and we played games, ate ziti and had some Ice Cream Cake! Eva woke up for a little bit but went right back to sleep.

Josh and Leah found a really cute "Santa's Little Helper" outfit for Eva and of course I purchased a santa's hat for her. She just looked so adorable in it!

Nick's good friend Jimmy moved in with us as he re-up'd and got stationed in Fort Riley. He ended up getting into Nick's platoon and will be heading out next month as well. His girlfriend came and stayed with us for a few days before block leave began. On the 4th of December we went out and got our very first Christmas Tree!

Dec. 18-Jan 2 has been a whole lot of family time. I've been getting lots of pictures of Eva and her father as he will be heading out soon.

She's getting so big! I found her tickle spots and have gotten a few laughs out of her.
She's learning things quickly as well, she can hold on to items and learned how to use a few toys on her jumper.

She is standing up with support not problem and actually prefers it most times.

On Dec 21 Uncle Josh flew in again, he originally wasn't going to come for the Christmas holiday but as Nick will be departing soon he decided to spend it with us. On Christmas Eve I decided to test out some solid foods for Eva. We started out with single grained rice. She took a few spoonfuls down and made a few faces but didn't do to bad for her first time!

On Christmas day Nick's parents flew in so Nick and Josh went to pick them up, while Eva and I stayed here and prepared Christmas dinner.I made some ham, mash potatoes, squash, beets, corn, and a birthday cake for Nick as it is was his 26th birthday.

The Bourdon's arrived back at the house around 4 o'clock. We all sat down and had dinner, Eva joined us at the table as well and tried her second round of single grained rice. She took a few more spoonfuls this time around. After dinner we gathered in the living room to open up our Christmas gifts.

Eva got all sorts of clothes, toys, and stuffed animals. She got a little fussy in the middle of gift opening so mommy had to put her down for sleep.

The family left on the 27th and 28th, and Eva had her 4 month appointment on the 29th. She weighed 13 lbs 12 oz. and was 24.75 Inches long (73% weight, and 85% height). We couldn't give her shots at the appointment until she was EXACTLY 4 months old, otherwise she'd have to get them again before starting school.

Other than that we have been spending quality time with Nick and are not looking forward to saying good bye! But its what we signed up for and we'll be waiting for him when he gets home safe and sound!
